\nJorma Tykkyl\u00e4inen (b. 1958) has studied in Finland mainly with Chechoslovakian teachers \u0160t\u011bp\u00e1n Rak and Vladimir Ve\u010dtomov. He has continued his studies 1983 in Mexico City at the ”Estudio De Arte Guitarristico”-school with Manuel L\u00f3pez Ramos and in semester of 1985-1986 at the Conservatory of Prague in Czechoslovakia with professor Arno\u0161t S\u00e1dlik.
\nIn 1983 Manuel L\u00f3pez Ramos wrote warmly of J.T.:
\n”I am convinced that this young musician has an enormous future in his artistic career.”
\nBesides numerous concert activities Jorma Tykkyl\u00e4inen has also worked as a guitar teacher. Concert reviewers have often described him as a strong and personal interpreter.
