Tracks 9 to 12: Recorded October 9, 1957 at the Shrine Auditorium, Los Angeles.
Track 13: Recorded at one of the above, uncertain according to liner notes (however, the comprehensive Mosaic 10-CD set Classic Jazz At The Philharmonic Jam Sessions lists the date as 9/29/57 at the Civic Opera House).

This CD issue features one of the highlights of Norman Granz’s last annual JATP tour of the US. The CD presents finally all the recorded music from the Chicago and Los Angeles concerts previously on 2 LPs.

CD also has a bonus track from the Opera House (or maybe Shrine Auditorium): the JATP All-Stars with add-ons Stan Getz, Oscar Peterson and Lester Young.

Some of these tracks were dubbed from LPs. Surface noise may be audible.

Tracks 9 to 13 are mono. The rest are stereo.
