It took me two years to figure out what I wanted to do and another two years to do it. I was bored, frustrated and somewhat blocked creatively. I needed to forget what I thought was expected of me. I needed to feel forgotten. I needed to feel like I’ve got something to prove. I needed a change, badly, and since the most difficult thing to change is yourself, I started with my surroundings. This meant letting go of many of the things that had defined my music so far. Ultimately, it meant letting go of most of the people who had been my closest associates for years. It wasn’t easy, since these people had always done their best to help me out. It wasn’t easy and it definitely wasn’t the nicest thing to do, but I still felt l had to do it and I did it. So there I was, floating around in an ocean of no inspiration and endless possibilities. I needed to find a new direction. A new sound. A new inspiration.
A new mystique.
And here it is, then.
Many people helped me along the way and I want to thank them.
First of all, obviously, Tommi a/k/a “Master Fader” -the only person involved in this project from beginning to end. Niko & Mikko for their valuable input regarding the endless stream of half-assed demos. Wemppa for providing me with “the first thing i need”. Arto for helping me find the right mood for the vocal tracks. Tapio for ridiculous bass work and Mamba for ridiculous percussion work. Janna for the beautiful song we wrote together and the beautiful vocals to make it even more beautiful.
