Pre-order: Mitski – Nothing’s About To Happen To Me (Tansy Yellow Vinyl) 27.2.2026
Mitski releases her eighth studio album, Nothing's About to Happen to Me via Dead Oceans. Supported by a live band and orchestra, Nothing’s About to Happen to Me finds Mitski immersing herself in a rich narrative whose main character is a reclusive woman in an unkempt house. Outside of her home, she is a deviant; inside of her home, she is free. Across the album, she balances closeness with distance - songs that feel personal without asking for anything in return. Standout singles include “Where’s My Phone?,” “I’ll Change for You,” and “If I Leave.” The album was produced and engineered by Patrick Hyland and mastered by Bob Weston, with assistance on drums and logistics from Kris Bulakowski. Continuing the musical through line established with The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We, the album features live instrumentation by The Land touring band and ensemble arrangements. -

Pre-order: Thundercat – Distracted 3.4.2026
Six years to the date of his last LP, Thundercat will release his fifth studio album, Distracted, coming out April 3rd via Brainfeeder. The new album features contributions from A$AP Rocky, WILLOW, Tame Impala, Channel Tres, Lil Yachty and a previously unreleased collaboration with the dearly departed Mac Miller. Distracted was primarily created in close collaboration with a new creative partner for Thundercat - the superproducer Greg Kurstin, known for his work with some of the biggest names in pop like Adele, Paul McCartney, Sia, Beyoncé, Beck and more - with additional production turns on the record from Flying Lotus, Kenny Beats (Kenneth Blume), and The Lemon Twigs. Distracted vividly captures the tension between overstimulation and introspection. Thundercat is deeply skeptical of technological “progress,” especially the way it’s narrowed our collective imagination instead of expanding it. He jokes about Star Trek and childhood dreams of space travel, then pivots to the anticlimax of reality: drones without lasers, phones that only upgrade cameras, innovation reduced to spying and access. The disappointment isn’t just about gadgets; it’s about what we were promised versus what we got. -

Pre-order: Robyn – Sexistential 27.3.2026
Generational pop icon Robyn announces her ninth studio album, Sexistential, which will be released on 27th March 2026 globally via Young.
Sexistential is the most ecstatic record that Robyn has ever made, the sound of one of contemporary music’s most influential artists coming home. After the club music meditations of 2018’s Honey, the album features nine, deeply playful pop songs that tie back to her era-defining Body Talk trilogy, designed to feel “like a spaceship coming through the atmosphere at a really high speed and crash landing”, she says. “That’s how I felt, like I’d had all these experiences searching too far out into space, and now I’m crashing back into myself.”
Co-produced mainly with longtime collaborator Klas Åhlund, Sexistential is emphatic and punchy, defiant about both emotional and biological pleasure, need and softness. The album’s title started life as an in-joke before she realised it said everything she wanted to say. “Exploring my sensual life is the same feeling as when I make a good song,” she explains. “It’s such a beautiful kind of sensitive vibration that takes so much work to keep afloat. I feel like the purpose of my life is to stay horny - it doesn’t even have to be about sex, but it’s feeling sensual and attracted to things that I enjoy, and not letting anything take over that.”

The eponymously titled SUNN O))) was tracked at Bear Creek Studios, Woodinville, Washington with Brad Wood (HuM, Tar, Sunny Day Real Estate, Liz Phair). This location would prove crucial to the recording process. -

Pre-order: Bill Frisell – In My Dreams 27.2.2026
Bill Frisell’s In My Dreams is a family reunion of sorts, which brings some of the acclaimed guitarist’s closest friends together into a unique sextet featuring Jenny Scheinman on violin, Eyvind Kang on viola, Hank Roberts on cello, Thomas Morgan on bass, and Rudy Royston on drums. Their deep musical history goes back decades, though never before in this particular configuration, and together they travel wide expanses of American music including Frisell originals as well as Jazz and Americana staples. Produced by Lee Townsend, the album will be released as part of Frisell’s 75th birthday celebrations. -

Pre-order: Pharoah Sanders – Elevation 13.3.2026
Preorder: 13.03.2026Elevation, released in 1974 on Impulse! Records, finds tenor saxophonist Pharoah Sanders expanding his spiritual jazz vision on an album that balances ecstatic expression with focused ensemble interplay. Produced by Ed Michel and recorded in 1973 across a live performance and studio sessions,Elevation features a dynamic ensemble including Joe Bonner on piano, John Heard on bass, and Michael Carvin on drums. Leon Thomas contributes vocals on the opening live track, “Greeting to Saud (Brother McCoy),” recorded at the Ash Grove in Los Angeles, while Kenneth Nash adds layered percussion and Michael White appears on violin. The album’s open forms, modal grooves, and spiritual themes underscore Sanders’ ongoing search for transcendence and cultural affirmation through sound. With chant-like melodies, circular motifs, and immersive rhythmic textures, pieces like “The Gathering” and the title track reflect a more meditative and exploratory side of Sanders’s aesthetic. Elevation marks the culmination of his Impulse! discography — a cohesive and spiritually resonant final studio statement that bridges the raw fire of earlier albums with a deeper, more spacious sound. The Verve Vault series is always mastered from analog tapes and pressed on 180g vinyl at Optimal. -
